Antique Solid Sterling Silver Salver

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine example of a large solid silver salver with reeded rim set on 4 ball and claw feet. It is engraved with various gentlemen's signatures which I have been unable to place - perhaps a sports team or club. It is a stylish piece and very good quality, weighing approximately 570g.

It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1917 and the makers Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co.

It is in very good condition for its age. There are no major damages and it displays well. There are some faint surface marks and some small dinks but nothing detrimental. It has been gently cleaned and polished and is ready for use.

The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
