Description

A good example of a solid Silver tankard of plain form on a stepped round foot with a shaped handle. The tankard is good quality, weighing approximately 321g, and has not been engraved.

It is clearly hallmarked for London, 1934 and the maker Edward Barnard & Sons. It also has the retailer's name stamped on the base "Martin & Co, Cheltenham".

It is in very good condition for its age but does have a few small marks and knocks picked up over the years. There is a small dent on the foot and some minor surface marks and light scratches but nothing detrimental and overall it displays well. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
