A rare English solid sterling silver William IV travelling inkwell. It is hallmarked for London 1834 with the makers marks being rubbed. It has been superbly made and is in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs, the leather lid seal has shrunk over time but this is easy to replace if you wish to use it. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (5.3cms) long by 1.5 inches (3.6cms) wide by 1.5 inches (3.7cms) tall and weighs 116 grams. A beautifully made example.
