A rare and interesting English solid sterling silver military ash tray. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1938 with the makers mark being that of Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd. It has been superbly designed being engraved 'K.BATTERY R.H.A. P.T.F. N.C.O's Jumping 1938'. The rim as been engine turned and enamelled along with a applied badge of the Royal Horse Artillery. It is in super condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 4.25 inches (10.8cms) long by 0.5 inch (1.2cms) tall and weighs an impressive 100 grams. A very rare and interesting piece.
