Novelty Japanese Sterling Silver Shamisen Instrument Pepper Pots 1940 Antique

Description

A beautiful pair of Japanese sterling silver pepper pots. They are marked STERLING 950, I would date it by its style to c1940. They have been superbly designed being in the form of shamisen instruments. They are in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the odd faint mark. They measures approx. 4.25 inches (10.5cms) long by almost 1.25 inches (3cms) wide and have a combined weight of 30 grams. A rare and unusual pair.
