Description

A rare beautiful solid silver Thai or Sri Lankan tea caddy canister box. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. I would date it to c1920. It has been beautifully hand made being embossed and chased with trees, temples and deities. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, it closes tightly and the inside is gilded. It has been engraved with initials to the cartouche. It measures approx. 3.5 inches (9cms) tall by 3 inches (7.6cms) across the base and weighs 170 grams. A superbly designed very high quality example.
