Cased Victorian Superior Silver Napkin Ring

19th century
Description

A very pretty Victorian solid silver Napkin Ring. Nicely designed, the engraving is very fine and lovely, featuring floral patterns and a vacant cartouche in the centre. Hallmarks are clearly visible for the Sheffield Assay office with a date mark for 1894, Lion Passant indicating fine sterling silver, and the maker's mark for the silversmith: Martin, Hall & Co.

 

The Napkin Ring sits in the lovely maroon original circular leatherette case which is in super condition. The inside of the case is lined with blue coloured satin and velvet and the name and address 'H Burgess South Norwood'.

 

Great gift for new baby /Christening.

 

Condition: All in super condition.

Hallmarks: Sheffield 1894 by Martin Hall & Co.

 

Measurements of box: Diameter width: 6 cm

Weight of napkin ring: 53 grams (very good heavy gauge weight).

Weights and measurements are approximate.
