German Solid Silver Egyptian Theme Cigarette Case C1930 Antique 54g Art Deco

Description

A top quality German solid 800 silver cigarette or cheroot case. It is hallmarked 800 standard along with the German crescent moon and crown mark. I would date it to c1920-30s when there was a surge in ancient Egyptian design and interest after the 1922 discovery of Tutankhamen. It has been superbly made being engraved an Egyptian figure and hieroglyphs. The inside is clean and gilded. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures approx. 3.25 inches (8.5cms) tall by 2.25 inches (5.5cms) wide weighs 54 grams. A superbly made high-quality interesting piece.
