A beautiful Italian 800 solid silver small tea caddy or canister box? It is hallmarked with the 800 standard mark and SERRA ROMA. I would date it to c1920s. It has been superbly designed with the lid being engraved with the insignia and coronet of a Count, the European equivalent to a British Earl. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes distortions and repairs. The inside is perfectly clean and gilded, the lid closes tightly. It measures approx. 3 inches (7.3cms) tall by 2 inches (5.2cms) wide by 1.75 inches (4.5cms) across and weighs 88 grams. A very high quality unusual piece.
