A beautiful cased pair of Victorian English solid sterling silver gilt serving spoons. They are hallmarked for Sheffield 1871 with the makers marks being RMEH for Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall). They have been beautifully designed having shell bowls and cast apostle terminals, there is a small snake and bird crest to their bowls. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, the case is also superb. The spoons measure approx. 8 inches (20.3cms) long by 2.5 inches (6cms) wide and have a combined weight of 156 grams (excluding the case). Beautifully made top quality very interesting examples.
