It has a neat handle, all culminating in what is a most aesthetically pleasing item. Made from exceptionally good heavy gauge silver it feels a really nice weight when picked up by the handle. Clearly defined hallmarks can be seen on the underneath for the Sheffield Assay Office with a date mark of 1911 and Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the maker's marks for the quality silversmiths: James Dixon & Sons Ltd.
