This wonderful engagement fit for royalty (like Diana’s ring), ring once graced the hand of another type of royalty, Hollywood’s it was the engagement ring of Douglas Fairbanks Jr's second wife the beautiful Mary Lee Epling. It has been restored and given the tender loving care it deserves, it was well worn as the marriage was a long and happy one, he was married to her until she died and the sapphire was a little rubbed when I purchased it but has been polished and reset and re-sized to an L1/2 as it was a tiny U.K. J, or about a 4 US so it is now a 6.5 US. The natural Ceylon sapphire is surround by a halo of old European cut diamonds. Everything about this ring is wonderfully romantic and fabulous. It’s diamonds sparkle and measure 0.1cts each and surround the natural Ceylon sapphire, set in platinum and 18ct gold
