Large English Square Silver Plated Cocktail / Drinks Tray C.1930

Description

It's always hard to find square shaped salvers or trays, highly sought-after. This large example is fully marked on the underside "Cavendish Plate / E. P on Copper / England".

The tray has an attractive raised border and a shell motif to each corner.

Just back from our silversmith's workshop, where it has been professionally cleaned and polished, restoring it to it's former glory.

Larger than most square examples, measuring 14" x 14" x 3/4" tall. Excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age and use dating to c.1930.
