Weight: 3.54gr
Metal: 18kt yellow, white and green gold
Condition: Very Good
Hallmarks: French, eagle’s head
Maker’s mark
Comments: We called this kind of earrings Poissardes because they were worn by the fishwives of Paris and who played a significant role during the French Revolution. The ear wires had a typical s-shaped fish-hook style cross over and threaded through the ear back to front. They are in very good vintage condition. They are marked with the eagle’s head for 18kt gold and with the maker’s mark.
