Woodbridge Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.
Hallmarks are visible on one side on both the lid and the base for the Birmingham Assay Office with a date mark for 1964 and Lion Passant indicating the finest sterling silver. The silver maker's mark is also visible: Adie Brothers Limited. Underneath the box is a leatherette finish.

A super box, the Lindisfarne pattern is exceptional.
Condition: In great condition. There are some very tiny surface scratches on the lid and a very slight indentation to the back corner where the hinge lies which we mention for accuracy (see image). The interior wooden box is slightly marked.
