Antique Victorian Sterling Silver 23" Oval Tray with Handles 1899

Description

This is a stunning antique Victorian hallmarked sterling silver oval tray measuring 23” (58 cms) x 16? (41 cms) x 1 1/4? (3.5 cms) high at the ends.

It’s hallmarked for Sheffield 1899 with the silversmiths mark for William Mammatt & Son.

It has a central cartouche with no inscriptions or monograms and has handles incorporated into the super pierced rim.

It weighs 2116 grams / 68 troy oz which gives you some idea of the quality and is in excellent condition – any dark marks and shadows you can see in the photos are just reflections.

This tray will come with a certificate of authenticity.
