The Silver Cabinet has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
They are hallmarked on the reverse for London 1815.
There are initials on the reverse and some wear to the tines, as can be seen in the photographs. Good quality Georgian flatware usually carries a family crest or initials, as it was the practice to take one's own cutlery out to dinner at somebody else's house and these inscriptions enabled the pieces to be correctly identified at the end of the meal.
