Description

A very attractive, slightly bulbous Old Sheffield Plated wine coaster.

The pierced sides feature swags flowing above six pierced hemispeherical patterns. The turned wooden base has a central plated button and the bottom has been replaced, which has left a slight wobble. It is large enough for a Champagne bottle. Dating from the end of the Victorian era, it is is remarkably good condition, with none of the usual areas of worn plating.
