A Mid 18th Century Silver Dessert Spoon

A superb and rather rare small silver dessert spoon from the reign of George II. This good example is in Hanoverian pattern and has engraved script initials 'EH'. This charming piece is over 270 years old and is a superb collector's item, dessert spoon from this era being much rarer than table or tea spoons. Early silver tableware is always in demand and becoming increasingly difficult to find. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. The bowl tip is in excellent condition.

Hallmarks :- Distorted, but part Maker's mark visible, date letter and Sterling Lion, traces of the town mark for London.
