Rare English Victorian Solid Sterling Silver Gilt Vinaigrette Box 1884 Antique

Description

A superb English Victorian solid sterling silver gilt vinaigrette box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1884 with the makers mark being that of Hilliard & Thomason. It has been beautifully designed with inside and grille being gilded and the outside being engraved, with the cartouche being engraved with initials. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 1 inch (2.5cms) across by 0.75 inch (1.8cms) wide by over 0.25 inch (0.7cms) tall and weighs 8 grams. A beautiful example.
