A beautiful rare Dutch solid silver snuff or pill box. It is marked with the Dutch Lion mark for 833 standard, Minerva's head mark, the date letter Z for 1884 and the makers mark. It has been superbly made being embossed with various animals and figures. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the lid closes tightly. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (3.8cms) tall by 1.25 inches (3.4cms) across the base and weighs 20 grams. A very pretty piece.
