A beautiful very high quality Dutch solid sterling silver trinket box. It is hallmarked with import marks for Sheffield 1897 with the importers mark being SBL for Samuel Boyce (or Boaz) Landeck. It is also marked with Dutch Minerva head mark and the date letter 1897. It has been beautifully designed being of love heart form and has been embossed with a horse and carriage to the lid and a courting couple to the base. It has been internally gilded. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (5.5.cms) wide by 2.5 inches (6.4cms) front to back by 1 inch (2.5cms) tall and weighs 38 grams. A beautifully made piece.
