Description

A superb solid sterling silver and glass hip flask. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1896 with the makers mark being LG. It has been superbly made having a bayonet lid which still retains its original cork. The cup is vibrantly gilded internally and engraved externally 'ALDERSHOT RIFLE MEETING 1898 5th PRIZE OFFICERS 200 YARDS'. It is in superb condition being free from splits holes and repairs, the odd faint knock. It measures approx. 5.25 inches (12.7cms) tall by 2.5 inches (6.5cms) across by 1.25 inches (3.3cms) wide and weighs 278 grams. A superbly made very high quality interesting piece.
