Antique Victorian Sterling Silver 'Music Lesson' Trinket Box 1899

Description

This is a beautiful antique Victorian sterling silver trinket box measuring 3 3/4? (9.5 cms) across x 2 1/4? (6 cms) x 1 1/4" (3 cms) high and hallmarked for Birmingham 1899 with the silversmiths mark for Henry Matthews.

It has super decoration in relief of 'The Music Lesson' which is a painting by Nicolas Lancret and the rest of the box is plain with no inscriptions or monograms.

It's gilded inside, is in super condition inside and out and it weighs 73.4 grams / 2.3 troy oz.

This lovely box will come in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity.
