An Outstanding 12 Piece Silver Dessert Set in Fiddle & Thread Pattern

An outstanding set of six Victorian silver dessert spoons and six dessert forks by the great George Adams. These desirable examples are in the rather rare Military Fiddle & Thread pattern ( a variation on the standard with scrolls to the shoulders) and have a fine bird armorial engraved to the top front. The pattern is double struck (front and back).

Flatware is rather scarce nowadays due to the great losses, caused by the unscrupulous melting of antique silver for scrap. Therefore a complete set of twelve in a sought after pattern, is a good find.
