Tom Scott Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.

The frame is well carved and solid, the carvings being highlighted with a hint of gold looks super.
The spring seat is in good condition and supports you well, being sprung it depresses when you sit on it so the height is good for a dressing table.

The current upholstery is vintage, very pretty and looks good although there are some very light water marks and one area of depression which I would imagine will right itself over time ( most likely happened whilst it’s travelled )…certainly looks great as is, but no problem for me to arrange re upholstery if you would prefer.
