Description

A beautiful very interesting sterling silver snuff or tobacco box. It is hallmarked for Birmingham 1901 with the makers marks being those of William Hutton and Sons. It has been beautifully made being of pebble form with the lid being engraved with an inscription relating to it being given as a gift to mark the coronation of King Edward VII. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The hinge works perfectly, the inside is clean and gilded and the lid closes flush - to open it you very gently squeeze the sides. It measures almost 3 inches (7.7cms) across by 1 inch tall and weigh 76 grams. A beautifully made top quality piece.
