Description

A rare and complete set of six George IV Scottish solid silver teaspoons and original matching sugar tongs by James McKay, hallmarked Edinburgh 1823; the tongs Edinburgh 1831 by Andrew Wilkie. Each piece fully hallmarked and the cartouche to all spoon and tongs engraved with the initials HG. This all corresponds to the gilt tooled initials on the fitted case.

A fine set, in excellent condition throughout, having been professionally polished; some rubbing to part of the hallmarks on a couple of spoons.

The box is quite tatty, but nice to still remain with the spoons.
