Description

This is a lovely example of a solid sterling silver lemon/fruit strainer, dating from the reign of George II.

It is hallmarked within the bowl for London 1740, with the maker's mark of George Greenhill Jones. The reticulated bowl has cross and foliate scroll piercing, securely attached to a single 'S' scroll and bar handle. Overall, given its remarkable age, in very good condition. Any shadows in the pictures are a result of poor photography skills, not damage!
