Comments: This lovely octagonal medal from the Thirties is made in 18kt yellow gold and blue enamel. The front pictures the profile of a young lady, looking to the left, she is probably the Virgin Mary as blue is her attribute. The back displays guilloche blue enamel. It is marked with the French eagle’s head for 18kt gold and with the mark of the jeweller Jean Catel. It is in very good vintage condition.
