In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1930s.
It has a beautiful etched glass shade with cranberry colouring at the top. It has a black on/off press switch in the base.

It is in working order and has been rewired to modern standards to take a bayonet bulb (bulb not included). It is also PAT tested for electrical safety. We would advise using a low wattage LED bulb to prevent the glass shade getting too hot.

The lamp stands approximately 16" (41cm) tall. The base is 4" (10cm) square and at its widest, including the glass shade, it is approximately 8" (20cm) long.
It is in good condition for its age. There are no major damages, just a few small nibbles around the edge of the glass shade but nothing detrimental. The chrome has tarnished slightly in places but it has been cleaned and gently polished and displays beautifully.
The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
