A very beautiful garnet and diamond twinned heart ring from the late 19th early 20th century The heart shaped cabochon garnets are set within a rose cut diamond border, surmounted by a rose cut diamond scroll, in rubbed over and claw settings, to a yellow gold engraved shoulder plain polished shank, total estimated diamond weight 0.30 carat approximately, it is marked for 15ct gold which was a finess only used during the 18th,19th Century and early few years of the 20 th century so it dates the ring as Victorian or late Georgian. Its finger size 6.5 It can be sized. It is a very beautiful example of a double heart or entwined forever Victorian love token. Hearts are represented in jewellery throughout the Victorian period and before as tokens of love.
