Victorian rose wood davenport with brass gallery top. The sloping writing surface has it''s original leather insert which adds to the character and charm of this handsome piece of furniture. The writing surface hinges open and has a storage area with two working and two dummy drawers. To the right hand side of the slope is an inkwell drawer which pulls out and hinges back to present the inkwells beside your right hand. The usual four graduated drawer to the right and dummy drawers on the left all with original turned handles. The davenport is finished all around so it can free stand and is raised on bun feet with casters underneath.
