Rare English Sterling Silver Pyx Holy Communion Wafer Box 1940 Antique 34g

Description

A rare English solid sterling silver pyx or holy communion wafer box. It is hallmarked for London 1940 with the makers marks being FOCoLd for F Osborne & Co Ltd. It has been beautifully made and has been engraved with a cross with internal gilding. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, very slight base edge mark - see photo. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.2cms) across by 0.75 inch (1.8cms) tall and weighs 34 grams. A nice quality unusual piece.
