Paul Storr Antique Sterling Silver Cream Jug

An antique George III sterling silver cream jug made by Paul Storr which has been designed in the helmet shaped style with a square pedestal foot, part fluted detailing to the body with gadroon decoration and a long reeded handle. The interior has been nicely gilded and the overall quality and condition is superb as one would expect from Paul Storr. This silver jug would make a desirable addition to a collection.
 
There is a crest on the front of the body and the armorials are those of Sir Charles Warre Malet, 1st Baronet of Wilbury House, Wiltshire, 1752-1815.
 
Height (to top of handle): 14.2 cms (5.6'')
 
Length (from spout to back of handle): 13.8 cms (5.4'')
 
Width: 8.5 cms (3.3'')
 
Weight: 10.5 troy ounces (328 grams)
 
It was hallmarked in London for 1798 by Paul Storr and it remains in excellent condition.
