Description

This is an antique Edwardian hallmarked sterling silver pierced top marriage box measuring 3 1/4” (8 cms) across x 2 1/4" (6 cms) and just over 1” (3 cms) high.

The pierced decoration on the lid shows a lovely scene of a wedding carriage leaving the church.

It weighs 52.4 grams / 1.6 troy oz and is hallmarked for London 1904 with the silversmiths mark for William Comyns.

This is a lovely box which is gilded inside and the whole item is in excellent condition.
