Description

A super quality good sized French solid sterling silver table snuff or trinket box. It is hallmarked with the French 950 standard Minerva head mark and the makers mark EP. I would date it to c1860. It has been beautifully made with a superbly engraved lid and vacant cartouche. The inside is gilded. It is is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs - a couple of tiny marks to the lid see final photo. It measures 3.25 inches (8.3cms) across by 2 inches (5cms) wide by 0.75 inch (2cms) tall and weighs 64 grams. A top quality piece.
