Very high quality English solid sterling silver asparagus, vegetable, or sandwich serving tongs. They are hallmarked for London 1865 with the makers mark being GA for Chawner & Co (George William Adams). They are highly sprung and in good working order. They have been engraved with initials and a cuffed arm crest to each side. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measure approx. 8.5 inches (21.5cms) long by 2 inch (5.5cms) wide and weigh an impressive 156 grams. Super quality examples.
