Description

The Victorians loved to incorporate natural specimens into their jewellery and this elegant gold brooch showcases a beautiful polished agate cabochon with striations of milky caramel and white. A gold bail has been added at the top and the piece can easily be worn as a pendant on a chain or ribbon.

The frame is at least nine-carat gold, hand chased with an intricate scrolling foliate design and the tiny forget me not flowers typically used to symbolise true love in Victorian jewellery.

In excellent antique condition.

Size: 3.8 x 4.8cm.
