Rare Arthur Stone American Sterling Silver Serving Tongs Arts & Crafts 110g

Description

High quality rare American hand wrought solid sterling silver serving tongs. They are hallmarked STERLING along with the makers marks of Arthur Stone of Mass who operated c1901-1937 and was known for his hand made Arts and Crafts pieces. They have been beautifully plannished and engraved with a coat of arms of possibly a Bishop or Archbishop? They are highly sprung and in good working order. They are in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. They measure approx. 6.75 inches (17.5cms) long by 1.25 inches (3.3cms) wide and weigh an impressive 110 grams. Super quality fascinating examples.
