A beautiful large German solid silver beaker cup / chalice. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon and crown mark, the 830 standard mark and the makers mark of WH Wilkens & Sohne who were founded in 1810, I would date this piece to c1900. It has been beautifully designed being plannished and is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures approx. 4.5 inches (11.3cms) tall by 3.25 inches (8.2cms) across the rim by 2.25 inches (5.7cms) across the base and weighs a respectable 150 grams. A very high quality stunning piece.
