Antique English Sterling Silver Wallet / Card Case / Aide Memoir - 1902

Description

A stunning large sterling silver case, with a variety of uses, as usable today as 108 years ago when this was made.

The outside of the case is beautifully engraved all-over, highly decorative with a vacant circular cartouche to the front which could be engraved by your silversmith if desired.

The catch to the side works well, and when pushed opens the case to reveal chocolate brown leather interior, in beautiful condition. There are various compartments suitable for a few credit cards, business cards and an a double postage stamp pouch. The original bone aide memoir remains intact and a silver coloured propelling pencil.

There is a full silver hallmark amongst all the decoration on the outside of the case for Birmingham 1902, making this a true Edwardian example; the makers mark for Charles S. Green & Co. is also present.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/4" x 3 1/4" while closed.
