A beautiful Dutch export solid sterling silver tea caddy canister box. It is hallmarked with the Dutch Lion and key export mark, Hanau or Dutch Pseudo marks and English import marks for London 1893 with the importers mark being SBL for Samuel Boyce (or Boaz) Landeck. It has been beautifully made being embossed with 18th century horse riding scenes. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and the hinge is strong. It measures approx. 3.75 inch (9.5cms) tall to the top of the finial by 3.25 inches (8.2cms) across by 2 inches (5cms) wide and weighs 128 grams. A beautiful piece.
