Victorian 18ct Gold Turquoise Set Mourning Locket

Description

A beautiful locket. In the form of an exquisitely engraved heart, set with three turquoise gems to the front, this locket has wonderfully neatly plaited rows of ebony hair encased in a frame on back. Obviously a lovely mourning item of jewellery. There is a good loop at the top for attachment to a chain. The locket has been tested 18ct gold.

 

A truly lovely locket. The colour of the gold is a gorgeous rich yellow synonymous with the Victorian era. Wonderfully crafted. Great item for a collector.

 

Condition: In super antique collector's condition.

 

Period: Victorian.

Measurements: Height (not including loop): 1.6 cm Width: 1.6 cm Depth: 6.4 mm

Weight: 2.9 grams
