A Fantastic Marble Table Lamp

19th century
Description

A fantastic Violet Breccia marble French table lamp with high quality Gilt Bronze mounts cast in the form of twin Bacchus heads the turned main marble body sits on a cast platform base , the lamp base does include the cream pleated shade .

Bacchus was a Roman agricultural god who was associated with the harvest — particularly that of grapevines.

Re-wired and Pat tested .

Marble type - Violet Breccia .

Violet Breccia was used for quality furniture , furnishing , object of art .

with out shade - 47cm tall x 22cm wide x 14cm deep.

with shade - 66cm tall x 40cm wide
