Silver & Enamel Minaudiere.

1900 - 1920
Description

Continental silver and enamel minaudiere; this lovely piece has a red and black banded outer case, the borders decorated and engraved with blue enamel. The opening catches are mounted with cabouchon sapphires.

The interior is a maize of silver-gilt lidded compartments with an interior lipstick mirror.

There is slight bruising to a small section of the outer case, commensurate with it's use.

An enchanting and collectable piece, of exquisite quality and craftsmanship.

Probably Viennese, imported into the UK by Cohen & Charles of London in 1924.

Overall length 10cm.
