Silver & Enamel Butterfly Brooch by Georg Johannes Rudd

1900 - 1920
Description

A delightful, Norwegian, vintage silver and enamel butterfly brooch. The detail on the brooch is superb. The wings are beautifully enamelled and the colour is superb; a delicate pale creamy yellow. The silver is gold plated and the brooch is marked on the back 925 S (for silver) and the mark for the silversmith and designer Georg Johannes Ruud who worked during the period 1923 - 1958. There is a good fastening clasp at the back.

 

A perfect gift, made by a collectable designer and in fabulous condition.

 

Period: c. 1923 - 1958
