A superb rare large Georgian solid sterling silver basting spoon. It is hallmarked for London 1802 with the makers marks being those of the Batemans. It has been superbly designed being made to what it termed the Old English Pattern. The terminal has been engraved with the letter P. It is in outstanding condition having no dings splits distortions or repairs. It measures approx. 12 inches (30.7cms) long by 2 inches (5cms) wide and weighs 108 grams. An impressive high quality piece.
