A beautifully rare French solid silver novelty pepper pot. It is hallmarked with the Minerva Head silver mark and the makers mark of Maison Eschwege who operated in Paris just after WWII. It has been superbly designed being in the form of a chick - the pepper comes out of its beak. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the base fits firmly. It measures approx. 1.75 inches (4.5cms) long by almost 1.5 inches (3.5cms) tall and weighs 28 grams. A very high quality unusual piece.
