A stunning rare American sterling silver vesta case. It is hallmarked STERLING along with the makers mark for Whiting and dates to c1900-1910. It has been superbly designed being embossed with holly leaves, berries and mistletoe - all very Christmassy. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, it works perfectly with a strong mechanism. It is large measuring approx. 2.75 inches (7cms) tall by 1.5 inches (3.7cms) wide and weighs 24 grams. A rare very high quality example.
